ATHLETIC PANIC

Man killed by javelin at school sports day!!

 On 24th January 2002, a strange, horrifying and a miserable event occurred. At Winster Primary School there was a sports day in which there were 30 different events. One of the events was javelin with proper javelins. A boy called Simon Varge took part in that event. He was very athletic! There were 10 participants in the event, 9 had done their throw. Now it was Simon's turn.

He had to beat 19.7m to win. He set back, took in some power and then let it go. The javelin was flying through the air until an incredible gale made the javelin shake violently.

The distance was 23.8m but instead of landing on the grass, it landed on a man's chest. Everyone suddenly froze. Just then, the man fell on the floor and he was dead.

The next moment, ambulances, photographers and the press had arrived. We talked to Simon. "I feel extremely guilty. I didn't mean to kill him", explained Simon. The incident sorted and finished with
